The coalition of communist, socialist and left-wing activist organizations has become a formidable force in US politics, gaining steady momentum – particularly among young people and some of the more traditional Democrats – as we approach November’s midterms. This leftist movement is not a fluke. It is extraordinarily well funded and is here to stay. The goal: To overwhelm our free market constitutional system by creating enough chaos, lawlessness and division to dismantle our republic. If they succeed, we will either fall from within or be made vulnerable for an attack from the outside by our adversaries. Our God-given freedoms are at stake!
To gain a better understanding of the forces we’re dealing with we need look no further than this summer’s prolonged protests following the police shooting of Corey Ruiz in Wisconsin. Groups taking the lead in coordinating the protests included the openly communist Party for Socialism and Liberation, Freedom Inc. (a Wisconsin-based “social justice” nonprofit), and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization – a Marxist-Leninist political organization. They are part of a larger network of at least 600 groups with over $2 Billion in revenue. Among the key funders of this protest movement is Neville Roy Singham, a Marxist hi-tech entrepreneur living in Shanghai. According to a Fox News Digital investigation, approximately $285 million of this tycoon’s money has been funneled into the expanding global network of nonprofits, activist organizations and media operations.1 This of course doesn’t include the millions of dollars pouring into the movement from other globalist sources such as the Rockefeller and Soros foundations. You get the picture.

Democratic Socialists of America
At the core of this proliferating movement is a radical subgroup of the Democratic Party, known as the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Don’t be deceived by the benign sounding name. Hardcore socialists – which DSA members are – espouse communist goals, especially the conversion of private property for public welfare projects. This is accomplished through confiscation, taxation or public expenditure, with the intent of pursuing the vision of Karl Marx: the abolition of private property.
As Jim Rickards, the respected economist and financial analyst puts it,
The DSA agenda is no secret. Members are quite open about it. The agenda includes open borders, extreme prison reform, free health care, free tuition, amnesty for all illegal immigrants, rent control, expanded paid family leave and wealth taxes, among other communist-style policies.2 (emphasis added)
Rickards further explains,
Most readers are familiar with the income tax. A wealth tax is different. They don’t tax what you make. They tax what you have, including stocks, bonds, real estate, savings accounts, and other assets. So you work hard to make money, pay income tax on those earnings, then invest in assets. The DSA would tax the after-tax assets themselves.3
If they succeed in their takedown of our Constitutional Republic, we will become the slaves of an immoral godless regime determined to rid the United States of any and all biblical values and. They will accomplish this by controlling, or even seizing, our private property and wealth, which might otherwise be used to oppose them.
For decades Marxists have subtly been taking over our institutions from the inside, infiltrating universities, foundations, media, science and government bureaucracy. Now we’re seeing the results. Many younger Millennials and Gen Zers have been “successfully” indoctrinated. They are devoted Marxists, running for office and coming for our wealth.
On June 23, DSA candidates won three congressional primaries in New York within the Democratic Party. They will likely go on to win in November, as their districts (the 7th, 10th, and 13th) are heavily Democratic and left-leaning. Along with DSA-backed Mayor Zohran Mamdani of NYC, other DSA-supported candidates have won mayoral races in the West, Midwest and East. They are taking our big cities one by one and are closing in on states.
At the national level, the DSA has taken control of the Democratic Party. It’s been a case of the far Left conquering the Left. Both have been moving in the same direction; it’s just that the DSA faction is doing so more quickly.
We are now at a point where it is no longer possible to be a knowledgeable Democrat and a knowledgeable Christian at the same time. In other words, if you understand the direction and platform of the Democratic Party and persist in voting Democrat (just because you always have), you are putting yourself in direct conflict with the Lord of Hosts.
Some Republican candidates are also severely compromised and pursuing hidden agendas. So, more than ever, godly discernment will be required when casting our votes on November 3rd. We must vote for those candidates whose policies are most in line with our Judeo-Christian ethic and worldview. If we lose our nation to the DSA, our freedoms will be gone. We will come under the rule of a globalist anti-biblical/anti-God government.
Iran, Israel, and Anti-Semitism
Perhaps the biggest issue currently fueling the far Left’s popularity is the on-going war with Iran. Increasingly, Israel is being blamed for causing this war and the subsequent higher energy prices and cost of living that come with it. In some states, a majority of Democrats favor Hamas and Hezbollah over Israel while demanding that the US stop opposing Iran, which is the chief sponsor of these terrorist groups. This growing hatred towards Israel is morphing into hatred for Jews writ large.
The far Left has been anti-Israel for a long time, with many being outright anti-Semitic. This is nothing new. But over the past couple of years an increasing number of those on the Right are aligning with the Left on this crucial matter. I estimate that upwards of 20 percent of Republicans are now squarely in the anti-Israel/anti-Semitic camp.
Unfortunately, history is repeating itself, but with a twist. During WWII, Hitler and his profascist supporters on the Right pursued the elimination of Europe’s Jews. When the Nazis stormed into Poland during their Blitzkrieg, they quickly rounded up Jews. Those Jews with foresight had fled eastward into communist Russia hoping to find refuge there. Instead, they ended up in miserable Gulags where many of them died. The Jewish people found safety with neither the Right nor the Left.
In a similar fashion, Jews are once again being pursued and ostracized, this time first by the Left, but now increasingly by the Right. The United States, which was once a safe haven for Jews, is changing and may soon be unsafe. This is why a growing number of Jews are exiting the US and making Aliyah to Israel. Isn’t it interesting that virtually every country in the world is coming against Israel and the Jews? This is a fulfillment of prophetic Scripture which accurately foretold such a time of hostility leading up to the return of Jesus Christ – who will intervene and stop the persecution of His people at the end of the Age. (Zechariah 14:1-11; Revelation 16:12-21, 19:11-21)
Pray for Donald Trump
President Trump finds himself in the middle of this burgeoning crisis. I do not envy his position and cannot imagine the difficulty of being President of the United States under the current circumstances. Whether you love him or hate him, the actions he takes are consequential. Therefore, we need to fervently pray for him. His decisions impact us all.
Thus far I have agreed with most of the President’s policies. To his credit, unlike certain leaders of the past, he has kept most of his promises to the America people. However, while many of his policies are good for our nation, he has made some blunders and is sometimes his own worst enemy. Some of his statements, for example, lack discernment and at times are outlandish. His inflammatory remarks often invite counterattacks and opposition that could otherwise be avoided.
Then there are his comments regarding Israel. Christian pastor and author, Dr. Mike Spaulding, pulled no punches in an article concerning Trump’s dealings with Israel. He wrote,
Trump’s recent statements crediting himself with Israel’s survival show more than his ego and narcissism; they reveal a total disregard for history, and especially biblical history. Israel has survived because President Trump is in office? The arrogance exhibited by such a statement is breathtaking.4
Such foolish remarks by the President bring unintended consequences. By casting himself as Israel’s keeper, the multitudes who hate Trump will hate Israel all the more, just because of Trump positing himself as Israel’s hero, if for no other reason. Thus, for Israel, Trump’s off-the-cuff statements are often counterproductive.
More than anything, Trump needs biblical insight, spiritual understanding, and the discipline to keep his tongue in check. Toward this end we must pray.
A Concerning Trend
The administration’s most ardent supporters of Israel have been Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, both of whom are devoted Christians. Since midsummer both men have become sidelined (less visible), while Vice President J.D. Vance has been noticeably elevated, making many appearances as the spokesperson for the administration on Mideast affairs. I like Vance in some regards; he is likeable and well spoken, and is for the most part conservative. However, in 2019 he converted to Roman Catholicism and is known to be less fond and more skeptical of the Jewish state, along with displaying a certain disdain for Bible prophecy (based on his new book Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith). Yet, he has become Trump’s mouthpiece for promoting the “wonderful benefits” of the Trump Peace Plan. As Dr. Spaulding accurately surmises,
The problem Vance has is that much of the peace plan has been leaked, and in a word, it is a disaster for the US, for Israel, and for every other nation in the Middle East except Syria and Turkey.5
I believe Hegseth and Rubio understand this but are being muzzled – prevented from speaking into or influencing the peace plan. Both of these men have demonstrated greater spiritual understanding than the President and Vice President and are not afraid to share their views when given the opportunity. Pray for their perseverance as they must at times be quite frustrated. Demonstrating his dependence on the Lord during a recent press conference, Secretary Hegseth closed by quoting the following passage from Psalm 144:
Praise be to the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge…
I thank God for warriors in high places who are seeking His counsel to do what is right.
Where will Trump’s peace efforts go from here? How will his Mideast maneuverings impact the US midterms? The fact is, we don’t know. Much can happen between now and November. But at least some of the results will depend on what takes place in the Middle East over the next few weeks. If the war with Iran re-intensifies and leads to casualties among our troops or attacks on the Homeland, or if the war leads to a sudden economic downturn impacting markets, it would not bode well for conservative candidates.
Exercise Your Duty
The President must be careful not to give Americans more reasons to hate him. To a large extent, I believe this fall’s elections will be a referendum on Donald Trump. Those with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) will turn out en masse to vote for DSA-aligned candidates. Those who understand the dangers of communism and the growing threat from the radicalized hordes who hate America, Israel, Jews and Bible-believing Christians, will vote for those candidates who will fight hardest to preserve our freedoms and Judeo/Christian worldview.
We need EVERY Conservative to get out and vote. If you fail to engage in this most important civic duty, you will have no right to gripe and complain about the consequences of a Marxist takeover in the days ahead. Laziness or inconvenience are no excuse!

Have You Trusted Jesus as Savior?
God loves mankind – his greatest creation. His perfect will is for all to be saved and none to be lost (John 3:15-18, 5:24). However, He makes clear that only those who have accepted (believed in) His divine Son, Jesus Christ, will be spared from the punishment of hell and will spend eternity with Him (Matthew 10:28 & II Peter 2:4-10).
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you must believe that Jesus is who He says He is and that He paid the penalty for your sins with His death on a cross. Accept His free gift of eternal life which He can offer because He conquered death through His resurrection. Then, with the help of His Holy Spirit, turn from your old ways of living (repent) and follow Him. Take a moment and tell the Lord that you desire to receive Him into your life and ask His Holy Spirit to dwell inside of you and lead you into all truth.
Once you have settled this most important matter, be devoted in your relationship with the Lord. Spend time with Him by reading His Word (the Bible) and talking to Him (praying) daily. As you grow in His grace, He will direct you and open doors showing you how best to serve Him. With Jesus at the helm, your life and eternity are secure in His care. No situation or power of the enemy will be able to separate you from the love of Christ!
