Pope Francis: Facilitating the Globalist Agenda

By Gary H. Kah

Throughout 2021, Pope Francis has continued to strongly push globalist ideals, demonstrating his support for the UN’s one-world goals. In every spectrum of influence – whether in the area of Covid-related health matters, climate change, economics, politics or religion – this pope has weighed in, exerting his influence upon “the faithful,” and anyone willing to listen. Here are just a few of his involvements and pronouncements from the past year.

● In early March 2021, an excerpt from Italian journalist Domenico Agasso’s interview with Pope Francis was published in Vatican News, focusing on the Covid crisis and global responses. It was clear that the Pontiff looked upon the crisis as an opportunity for global solidarity: “If we seize the current trial as an opportunity, we can prepare for tomorrow under the banner of human fraternity, to which there is no alternative, because without an overall vision there will be no future for anyone.”

He stated: “…we can heal injustice by building a new world order based on solidarity…,” adding, “…we need political action that is the fruit of international harmony. United in fraternity, humanity is able to face common threats…”1

● On April 11, the Pope sent a letter to a meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, calling for economic restructuring for the “universal common good” in light of the Covid crisis. His text pointed to a system of global governance: “While many countries are now consolidating individual recovery plans, there remains an urgent need for a global plan that can create new or regenerate existing institutions, particularly those of global governance, and help to build a new network of international relations for advancing the integral human development of all peoples.”2

● In October the Pope appointed globalist Jeffrey Sachs to the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. It was a move prompting criticism from some Catholic circles, and understandably so, as Sachs has a history of promoting international population control and abortion services. In the past, Sachs served as an advisor to three UN Secretary-Generals and was the director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. He was also directly involved in formulating the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

● On October 29, the Friday before the 2021 UN climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, the Pope urged world leaders to take “radical action,” saying, “The most important lesson we can take from these crises is our need to build together, so that there will no longer be any borders, barriers or political walls for us to hide behind.”3

Francis spurs on globalist leaders in Glasgow, delivering a message via BBC Radio.

● On October 31, the opening day of the United Nations climate summit, the Pontiff urged people to pray so that “the cry of the Earth” would be heard at the summit: “Today in Glasgow, in Scotland, the UN Summit on Climate Change is starting, COP26. Let us pray so that the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor will be heard and that this meeting may give effective answers offering concrete hope to future generations.”

The Pope went on to say, “It is time to think big, to rethink our priorities… and to re-plan our future. It is time to act, to act together, it is time.”4

● On November 11, during the Paris Peace Conference – an event drawing world leaders and global governance actors – the Pope gave a message reinforcing the need for collective action. LifeSite news service reported on the development, noting that the Pontiff downplayed the idea of “so-called ‘return to normalcy’ [with its] myopic exploitation of resources…” Some excerpts from LifeSite add more details:

“A return to normality would also mean a return to the old social structures inspired by ‘self-sufficiency, nationalism, protectionism, individualism and isolation’ and excluding our poorest brothers and sisters,” Pope Francis stated. “Is this a future we can choose?”

Describing the world as “globalised but fractured,” Francis posited current “decisions” as “determin[ing] the ‘trajectory’ of future generations.”

“This is why we need a new way out; we must work together to emerge better than before,” he continued… [telling world leaders] “accept the challenge of assuming the crisis as ‘a real opportunity for conversion and change in order to rethink our way of life and our economic and social systems’.”5

The Pope’s obsession with building a new global society has been noticed by a growing number of conservative Catholics who have begun to push back. Among the most outspoken voices is Vatican insider Archbishop Carlo M. Vigano who has openly opposed Pope Francis and his accomplices for nearly two years, even accusing Francis of being “the spiritual leader” of the globalist movement.

Catholic Archbishop Carlo Vigano

A “global coup d’état” is taking place, he warns, for the purpose of ushering in the “New World Order.” Vigano argues that Covid-19 is being leveraged by the global elite to increase their power and strip away our personal liberties. His latest appeal was released in November to website Gateway Pundit and is titled “Appeal for an Anti-Globalist Alliance.” Here are a few excerpts from his message:

FOR TWO YEARS NOW we have been witnessing a global coup d’état, in which a financial and ideological elite has succeeded in seizing control of part of national governments, public and private institutions, the media, the judiciary, politicians and religious leaders. All of these, without distinction, have become enslaved to these new masters who ensure power, money and social affirmation to their accomplices. Fundamental rights, which up until yesterday were presented as inviolable, have been trampled underfoot in the name of an emergency: today a health emergency, tomorrow an ecological emergency, and after that an internet emergency.

This global coup d’état deprives citizens of any possibility of defense, since the legislative, executive, and judicial powers are complicit in the violation of law, justice, and the purpose for which they exist. It is a global coup d’état because this criminal attack against citizens extends to the whole world, with very rare exceptions. It is a world war, where the enemies are all of us, even those who unwittingly have not yet understood the significance of what is happening. It is a war fought not with weapons but with illegitimate rules, wicked economic policies, and intolerable limitations of natural rights.

Supranational organizations, financed in large measure by the conspirators of this coup d’état, are interfering in the government of individual nations and in the lives, relationships, and health of billions of people. They are doing it for money, certainly, but even more so in order to centralize power so as to establish a planetary dictatorship. It is the Great Reset of the World Economic Forum, the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations. It is the plan of the New World Order, in which a Universal Republic enslaves everyone and a Religion of Humanity cancels Faith in Christ.

As part of his closing call to action, Vigano urges the rapid formation of an opposition alliance, declaring:

This Anti-Globalist Alliance will have to bring together the Nations that intend to escape the infernal yoke of tyranny and affirm their own sovereignty, forming agreements of mutual collaboration with Nations and peoples who share their principles and the common yearning for freedom, justice, and goodness. It will have to denounce the crimes of the elite, identify those responsible, denounce them to international tribunals, and limit their excessive power and harmful influence. It will have to prevent the action of the lobbies, above all by fighting against the corruption of state officials and those who work in the information industry, and by freezing the capital used to destabilize the social order.

…We do not accept our adversary’s rules, because they are made precisely to prevent us from reacting and organizing an effective and incisive opposition.

…Let us found this Anti-Globalist Alliance, let us give it a simple and clear program, and let us free humanity from a totalitarian regime that brings together in itself the horrors of the worst dictatorships of all time. If we continue to delay, if we do not understand the threat that looms over us all, if we do not react by organizing ourselves into a firm and courageous resistance, this infernal regime that is establishing itself everywhere will not be able to be stopped.

And may Almighty God assist us and protect us.

A word of caution here. While the sinister efforts of the global elite should be exposed and opposed by Christians as being a dangerous deception that is drawing in the spiritually naïve masses, we must be careful not to engage in counter movements if they are built primarily on unholy alliances. While cooperation in opposing the emerging health dictatorship can bring positive results even if all the participants aren’t exactly on the same page, any movement, no matter how good its initial intentions, is capable of being manipulated by the evil one. Therefore, even in our rightful efforts to expose/oppose the New World Order, we must be careful not to lose sight of our main purpose, which is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him in a spirit of truth. This underlying motive must resonate through all our actions.

Vatican Interfaith Efforts

While the Covid crisis continues to bear “good” socialist fruit for the globalist movement, Pope Francis has been pursuing a corresponding religious strategy as well, attempting to unite the world’s religions in order to draw them more easily into the emerging global society. He has been promoting such efforts since taking office in March of 2013. One of his biggest achievements has been to gain the trust and cooperation of the world’s foremost religious leaders, whom he has brought together in numerous summits.

His closest ally in this push for religious unity has been Egypt’s top Islamic cleric, the Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb. In February 2019 the two of them introduced a document they jointly drafted – officially titled the Document of Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together. “Human Fraternity” has become the latest catchphrase used by the Pope and his inner circle to describe the one-world interfaith concept.

This document has inspired the creation of an interfaith religious compound currently under construction in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This designated mecca of religious unity will be in the form of a complex called the Abrahamic Family House, consisting of a church, mosque and synagogue – three separate, yet visually similar, structures standing side by side. Besides the three places of worship, the site will include a cultural center whose purpose is to encourage human fraternity and solidarity among religious communities. The project is slated for completion in 2022 and will be a hub for interfaith rituals, services, education programs and summits.

The Abrahamic Family House pictorial rendering

The construction of the Abrahamic House is being closely monitored by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam who have endorsed its design. The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF), which has been selected to supervise this effort, will also oversee other projects aimed at furthering religious tolerance and unity.6

In its article, “One World Religion Headquarters Set to Open Next Year,” BacktoJerusalem.com points out some reasons for concern about this new religious center:

The stated purpose of the Abrahamic Family House is to bring understanding and tolerance among the faiths, but there are a couple of notable challenges. First, Abu Dhabi is a part of the UAE where it is illegal for Christians to proselytize and [where] conversion from Islam is prohibited…Christians are free to convert to Islam, but citizens of Abu Dhabi are not free to choose Christ. Perhaps, like the Abrahamic Family House that promises tolerance and understanding, the UAE constitution also guarantees freedom of religion “in accordance with established customs,” but the devil is in the details. Though certain practices (like conversion from Islam) are directly prohibited, penal code for the UAE defers to Sharia Law, which strictly prohibits apostasy…The church is not permitted to have a cross on the building as a method of identifying it, as it is illegal to display a Christian cross on a building in the UAE.

Though usually not enforced, teaching that Jesus is the only God is considered to be an act of insulting Allah or the Prophet Muhammad and offenders can be subject to imprisonment for five or more years, fined from 250,000 dirhams ($68,100) to two million dirhams ($545,000), and Christians may be deported.

To add to the confusion of bringing understanding and tolerance, Sunni Muslim leader, Sheikh Ahme[d] al-Tayeb, who is widely touted as a “moderate” Muslim, strongly believes that Muslims who convert from Islam to any other religion (including Christianity) should be killed. [He has made such statements in the past.]

So, if the idea of the One World Religion Headquarters is to bring tolerance and understanding, then why build it in a Muslim country where conversion is illegal and why do it together with a Muslim cleric who teaches that Muslim apostates should be killed? Isn’t that the opposite of tolerance and understanding?…

[Additionally,] in December 2020, the United Nations passed an anti-blasphemy law that most Christians are not aware of. The loosely translated law, as embraced by the UAE, prohibits any teachings against Islam, including Biblical teachings which could be considered offensive.7

The bottom line is this: Pope Francis, Ahmed al-Tayeb, and their entourage of accomplices recognize that a one-world governmental and economic system will be impossible to bring about without a tremendous amount of cooperation among the world’s religions. Major differences between the various religions has been one of the chief roadblocks faced by globalists in attaining their goal. Therefore, we can expect a much more concerted push by globalist religious leaders to organize and promote interfaith events through 2022 and beyond. Biblical Christianity will always get the short end of the stick while Islam will be elevated. And, the Jewish faith won’t have much of a say in any of this – at least for now. The ultimate goal of the Vatican, I believe, is to make Jerusalem the interfaith religious center of the world, under Rome’s control. This has been the Papacy’s end game for centuries, dating back to the Crusades and even before. Thus, the multi-faith complex being built in Abu Dhabi is merely a stepping stone – albeit a very important one – toward achieving a one-world enforceable religion overseen by the Antichrist from Jerusalem.

A Growing Minority

An increasing number of Christians and other freedom-loving people around the globe are waking up and realizing that the Great Reset is not a good reset for them. Thousands, for example, have taken to the streets to protest the latest Covid restrictions throughout Europe. Tens of thousands of Austrians marched through Vienna last month after their government announced a nationwide lockdown and mandatory vaccinations for all citizens beginning February 1. Austria’s restrictions are currently the most severe in Europe; although Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Northern Ireland aren’t far behind. Mandatory Covid-19 passes are now required in many European countries to enter restaurants, markets or sporting events.8

After initially being slow to respond, some of Europe’s churches and Christian groups are finally beginning to oppose their governments’ draconian measures, realizing that their religious freedoms are quickly falling to this anti-Christian globalist agenda. Why have they been so reluctant to take a stand? The reasons are many. Europeans on the whole are more compliant than Americans when it comes to obeying their leaders. And Christians generally feel it is their duty to obey government authorities (Romans 13) without pushing back.

But truth be told, the mainline churches of Europe have become quite cozy with the Vatican since World War II and as a result have been more hesitant to publicly denounce policy recommendations originating from the Holy See. Some of them have followed the various popes as if they belonged to a Vatican fan club. So it should not come as a surprise that so few mainline – and for that matter evangelical – pastors have stood up against Pope Francis and his socialist decrees.

The politically astute Francis always calls for unity when it appears that dissension is brewing within his flock. Like sheep being corralled by their shepherd, most of the “Christian” leaders are quick to back down – lacking the courage and moral fortitude to stand against the most powerful religious voice in the world. I hope that evangelical pastors and leaders in the US are watching and learning from these developments in Europe and elsewhere. If we don’t act and stand together now, our freedoms will soon be lost.

How Will America Respond?

Like many American Christians, I grieve for my country as I see it coming apart because of its rejection of God and His truth. It has not always been like this. Despite our nation being founded by imperfect men – some of them being Freemasons and belonging to questionable societies – most of their underlying beliefs were grounded in the Judeo-Christian teachings/ethics of the Bible.

Over Thanksgiving, I received a letter from a friend containing powerful and insightful quotes from two of our most celebrated past Presidents. In 1789, President George Washington proclaimed:

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor – and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the  many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness…”9

Thanksgiving was intended to be a special time to express our gratitude to the Lord God for His hand of protection and covering over our newly formed republic. God was acknowledged front and center, His providence being sought in humility.

Similarly, in October of 1864, a few months before the end of the bloody US Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln declared:

Now, therefore, I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, do hereby appoint and set apart the last Thursday in November next as a day which I desire to be observed by all my fellow-citizens, wherever they may then be, as a day of thanksgiving and praise to Almighty God, the beneficent Creator and Ruler of the Universe.

And I do further recommend to my fellow-citizens aforesaid that on that occasion they do reverently humble themselves in the dust and from thence offer up penitent and fervent prayers and supplications to the Great Disposer of Events for a return of the inestimable blessings of peace, union, and harmony throughout the land which it has pleased Him to assign as a dwelling place for ourselves and for our posterity throughout all generations.10

How far we have departed as a nation from the Christian foundation established by the first Pilgrims, heeded by many of our early leaders, and embedded in our laws passed down through the generations! We, as a people, have squandered the freedoms and the moral platform that God has gifted to us. This has impacted not only our nation, but the rest of the world which has looked to us for leadership.

Nevertheless, even at this late hour, if we humble ourselves in reverent fear before Almighty God, He might yet relent and intervene on our behalf. But unless there is a genuine repentance and turning back to God – quickly – by we, the American people, I believe He will not honor our efforts to slow the spread of tyranny and the enthronement of the Antichrist – no matter how sincere the efforts of the Anti-Globalist forces may be.

Let us therefore seek the Lord wholeheartedly in complete repentance, pleading for His forgiveness, and petitioning His divine intervention. Let us also, together, ask the Lord for an extra measure of wisdom and courage for this specific time, as we endeavor to carry out His will for our nation and our lives.

Please understand, the time is very short. We must not only repent individually and as a nation, but we must also stand firmly against the forces of evil seeking to devour our land. This must be part of our repentance and obedience to the Lord.

The seduction we’ve been gripped by will continue to move forward, pushing the limits through new Covid mandates and forced shutdowns this winter, and other global crises yet to be unleashed. The corrupt powers that be will do everything possible to implement their agenda by the mid-term elections next November. They realize that people are waking up and that they must move quickly. So we must respond by resisting and rejecting – through fervent prayer and determined action – the plans and efforts of Pope Francis, the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, the Biden Administration and all the accompanying individuals and organizations supporting their acts of lawlessness.

We must be discerning and bold as never before in our pursuit to do what is right before God. Ephesians 5:11 instructs us to “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” And, in I Corinthians 16:13 we are told, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.” These instructions also apply to our Christian brothers and sisters around the world, who are witnessing the same onslaught of evil.

We know from Scripture that a global system of government and religion will eventually be formed and that the Antichrist will rule for a period of time. “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day” (II Peter 3:8). God is not limited by time. He is not in a rush to see the Antichrist come to power, nor to see His people persecuted by the accompanying demonic forces. So, we must move forward in humble obedience to the Lord and leave the timetable in His hands. We must exalt and follow Jesus as our only spiritual hope and savior, knowing that when the closing events of human history finally play out, it is Jesus who will be the victor, defeating the forces of evil when He returns (II Thessalonians 2:8, Revelation 19-22). What a glorious day that will be! ■

He became sin, Who knew no sin
That we might become His Righteousness
He humbled himself and carried the cross
Love so amazing

Jesus Messiah, Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

All our hope is in You
All the glory to You, God
The light of the world

Quotable Quotes: A Lineage of Popes

1. “Your movement, Gentlemen, has the task of creating an effective political organization of the world. There is nothing more in keeping with the traditional doctrines of the Church, or better adapted to her teachings on the rightful or unjust war, especially in the world situation. An organization of this nature must, therefore, be set up…”

– Pope Pius XII, speaking to the World Movement for World Federal Government, April 6, 1951.

2. “Men’s common interests make it imperative that at long last a world-wide community of nations be established.”

– Pope John XXIII, Pacem in Terris, 1963.

3. “[The United Nations] mark a stage in the development of mankind, from which retreat must never be admitted… Advance always!… Let unanimous trust in this Institution grow, let its authority increase… Is there anyone who does not see the necessity of coming thus progressively to the establishment of a world authority, able to act efficaciously on the juridical and political levels?”

– Pope Paul VI, talk to the United Nations, October 4, 1965.

4. “The Holy See attaches great importance to its collaboration with the United Nations Organization and the various organisms which are a vital part of its work.”

– Pope John Paul II, Address to the International Court of Justice, May 13, 1985.

5. “In the face of the unrelenting growth of global interdependence, there is a strongly felt need, even in the midst of a global recession, for a reform of the United Nations Organization, and likewise of economic institutions and international finance, so that the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth.”

– Pope Benedict XVI, Caritas in Veritate, 2009.

6. “The nation-state cannot be considered as an absolute, as an island with respect to the surrounding circumstances. In the current situation of globalization not just of the economy but also of technological and cultural exchanges, the nation-state is no longer able to procure on its own the common good of its populations. The common good has become global and nations must affiliate themselves for their own benefit. When a supranatural common good is clearly identified, it necessitates a specific, legally and concordantly constituted authority capable of facilitating its fulfillment.”

– Pope Francis, Address to the Plenary Session of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, May 2, 2019.

Have You Trusted Jesus as Savior?

God loves mankind – his greatest creation. His perfect will is for all to be saved and none to be lost (John 3:15-18, 5:24). However, He makes clear that only those who have accepted (believed in) His divine Son, Jesus Christ, will be spared from the punishment of hell and will spend eternity with Him (Matthew 10:28 & II Peter 2:4-10).

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you must believe that Jesus is who He says He is and that He paid the penalty for your sins with His death on a cross. Accept His free gift of eternal life which He can offer because He conquered death through His resurrection. Then, with the help of His Holy Spirit, turn from your old ways of living (repent) and follow Him. Take a moment and tell the Lord that you desire to receive Him into your life and ask His Holy Spirit to dwell inside of you and lead you into all truth.

Once you have settled this most important matter, be devoted in your relationship with the Lord. Spend time with Him by reading His Word (the Bible) and talking to Him (praying) daily. As you grow in His grace, He will direct you and open doors showing you how best to serve Him. With Jesus at the helm, your life and eternity are secure in His care. No situation or power of the enemy will be able to separate you from the love of Christ!

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?… No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

—Romans 8:35, 37-39
